Cooperation between Lisbon-Treaty representatives and LEON

Lisbon-Treaty.org was created to compile and archive all the articles of the Lisbon Treaty (entered into force in 2009). Since 2008, the website has been operating and providing all information and documents related to the Lisbon Treaty so that its visitors can consult the text at any time. Our team has also described the ratification process and linked references to all the previous European regulations and other relevant documents.

Today, the European Union is known as an association of 27 countries that were merged to fortify economical and political ties in Europe. The EU stands among the most influential trade entities and spreads democratic values. Most of the EU countries have adopted the Euro as their national currency, and even more countries come as part of the euro-circulation zone (the eurozone).

The EU has a long history — it evolved from an entirely economical organisation to a successful bloc of countries that cooperate with each other on many levels. The Lisbon Treaty marked a milestone in the EU’s history when many base regulations were updated and the process of leaving the EU was properly established.

Lisbon-Treary.org Nearing Its End

In 2020, Lisbon-Treaty.org started experiencing DDoS attacks and several other major problems. Our IT team found it difficult to avert attacks and maintain the website’s operation. Prolonged disruptions occurred in the work of Lisbon-Treaty.org, therefore we had to look for new external solutions.

The website didn’t have many popular features for the general audience and we never allowed advertisements on our website either. We were running the site within the framework of quite a humble budget. Without any donations, Lisbon-Treaty.org continued its work for some time but, eventually, the site didn’t have any other options apart from shutting down.

Fortunately for us, LEON stepped in and offered its help.

Lisbon-Treary.org Rescued by LEON

Various sponsors showed interest in supporting our project, however, the best terms were offered by LEON, a renowned company delivering online entertainment. LEON offers three main types of games: live casino, slots, video poker, and sports betting. Each of the aforementioned sections features the most popular games of the finest quality, which players from all over the world truly enjoy. Such an act of succour proves the responsible gaming standards declared by LEON and shows that it’s a noble company interested in making our world a better place by investing in such public projects.

Lisbon-Treary.org was informed that our mission had inspired LEON to fund our company. A three-step plan was proposed to Lisbon-Treaty.org so that the website would strengthen its security and even update the stale hardware and servers. LEON provided us with the means to ensure that the visitors of our website have easy access to the text of the Lisbon Treaty. Knowledge is power and Lisbon-Treary.org will ensure that our visitors can always find the needed piece of information.

No words could express how grateful we are, but still,
Thank you LEON!
