The World Association for Sexual Health (WAS) was established in 1978 when it was first named the World Association for Sexology. The founders are a number of multidisciplinary, non-governmental worldwide organisations. The main agenda was and is to promote and popularize sexual health and basic sexual rights globally, everywhere on the planet.
However, sometimes we face challenges and ought to find unconventional solutions. Thus it was decided to partner with LEON, a company that never stops taking steps forward. Social contribution is among those things we always consider to be the greatest virtue, and LEON engages in different social projects and activities around the world to make it a better place.
By making the finest technologies, products, content, and partnerships, LEON strives to address sundry global issues by sharing and supporting the ideas of various non-governmental persons and institutions, which we absolutely support and endorse.
For three decades, the WAS has been steadily accomplishing its goals through the exchange and advancement of scientifically-based sexuality research involving diverse academic disciplines and professional specialisations. Promoting and advancing sex education and clinical sexology has always been our number one goal.
In the last decade, the WAS has concentrated on advocating for changes in creating public policies that would recognize sexual health as an important factor in overall human wellbeing and health in general.
The WAS promotes sexual health and believes that all individuals must freely have access to both quality sexual education and sexual health-related information at any time. Another keystone is that sexual health can only be attained when people are freed from stigma, sexual abuse, discrimination, violence, or coercion.
Unfortunately, everybody is to face hard times and make difficult decisions at some point. Several major figures of the organising committee resigned due to various reasons, and we faced a crisis, which was worsened by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It was difficult not only to pursue our primary goals but to continue operating as an organisation as well.
As a result of all the unpleasant events, the site worldsexology.org and the WAS ceased to operate.
LEON came to us lending their helping hand, which we were eager to grasp, by sponsoring our organisation and returning us our Internet domain. LEON believes that their achievements in the casino industry enable them to support various initiatives in the social field.
This belief is what motivates them to work harder and offer the finest-grade product to the public. Each new slot or betting service they make available to people is one more little step to a healthier future for society.
The cooperation between the WAS and LEON make it possible for us to continue enlightening society about the importance of sexual health and hygiene, making thus our world safer and better for all.
We deeply thank LEON for their support!
